This Privacy & Cookie Policy describes how AML Objects AB, Swedish company registration No 559571-2877 (henceforth: AML Objects; may be referred to as ’us’), collects and processes personal data when you visit amlobjects.com and its sub-domains (henceforth: the site), make a purchase, request a quote, subscribe to our newsletter or are otherwise in contact with us. It applies to private customers as well as to representatives of businesses and organisations.

All personal information will be handled with the utmost care. The information that we store will never be sold.

Controller

AML Objects AB is the controller of your personal data. Selected partners may process your personal data on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions. We handle your personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In other words: in a legal, open and fair manner.

Data Collection

We collect your personal data when you place an order, request a quote, contact our customer support team, sign up for our marketing communications, browse our website or use the other services offered by our website (www.amlobjects.com). The data we collect includes details such as your given name and surname, company (where applicable), email address, phone number and your shipping and billing addresses. We also collect data regarding your shopping habits and the pages and products you have viewed from your use of the website.

We use this data to:

  • Receive orders, process payments and deliver the items you have purchased;

  • Prepare quotes and manage our business relationship with you or your organisation;

  • Provide any additional services you have requested, such as our marketing communications;

  • Give you access to services reserved for registered users, such as product alerts and new deals;

  • Provide you with help and assistance via our customer support.

All customers paying by card are subject to validation checks, and AML Objects reserves the right to delay any order if fraud is suspected. For security reasons, we do not store any payment or credit card information in our database; payments are processed by our payment providers.

Sharing and Data Processing

Your personal data may be disclosed to third parties only when it is necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy. We use external suppliers to help meet our business needs and may therefore share your data with these suppliers, for example our website and e-commerce platform, payment providers (Stripe and Klarna), shipping carriers and our accounting system. These suppliers have been selected for their security, reliability and competence, and only process your data on our instructions. When you pay with Klarna, Klarna processes your data as an independent controller in accordance with its own privacy policy.

Some suppliers may process data outside the EU/EEA. In such cases we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Retention

We will not retain your personal data for longer than is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which you provided that personal data, unless the law requires that we retain it for longer. The period varies depending on the purpose of the processing. For example, data relating to your purchases on amlobjects.com are retained for seven years in accordance with the Swedish Accounting Act (bokföringslagen), while data used to send you our marketing communications are retained until you opt out (unsubscribe).

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Know what personal data of yours we are holding and processing, where that data came from and how we use that data;

  • Ask us to update, correct or add to the data we hold about you;
