Terms and Conditions for businesses and organizations
Introduction
AML Objects is operated by AML Objects AB, Swedish company registration No 559571-2877, VAT No SE559571287701, Kungsholmstorg 1, SE-112 21 Stockholm, Sweden, info@amlobjects.com.
These terms apply to all users of the domain amlobjects.com and its sub-domains (henceforth: the site). The terms and conditions will be valid for all your future transactions with AML Objects AB (henceforth: AML Objects; may be referred to as ’us’) and visits to the site. AML Objects reserves the right to revise these terms and conditions. The date of the latest update is found in the final section of the terms and conditions. The terms in force at the time your order is placed or your quote is accepted apply to that order.
These terms apply to purchases made by businesses and organisations. For orders to private customers separate terms apply. These terms can be found at amlobjects.com/terms-and-conditions. How we process personal data and use cookies is described in our Privacy & Cookie Policy at amlobjects.com/privacy-policy.
Order Policy
An order is placed easily and securely on the website, and you confirm your order when you complete the final step at checkout. In doing so, you also become responsible for paying for your order. You will receive an order confirmation email immediately after completing the order. The purchase agreement becomes binding when we send the order confirmation. The order confirmation contains important information that must be saved. If you wish to change something in your order after it has been confirmed, please contact us immediately at info@amlobjects.com, and we will try to implement the change. Please note that changes are not possible after your order has been processed, packed and/or shipped or if the order is bespoke/personalised.
Orders can also be placed through direct contact. By accepting a quote from us, these terms will be in effect. Quotes are valid for the period stated in each quote.
We reserve the right to limit the quantities of AML Objects’ products that we supply, and/or to refuse any order that is unusual or placed in bad faith. In addition, we reserve the right to refuse any order from a client with whom there is a dispute concerning the payment of a previous order.
Order of Precedence
In the event of any conflict between documents, the following order of precedence applies: (1) the accepted quote, (2) the order confirmation, (3) these terms and conditions. Any general terms of purchase of the customer do not apply unless expressly accepted by AML Objects in writing.
Prices and Payment
Prices in quotes are stated in Swedish kronor (SEK) excluding VAT, unless otherwise specified. Prices on the site include Swedish VAT (25%).
Unless otherwise specified in the quote or order confirmation, payment is made in advance. Production and delivery begin once payment has been received. Purchases on the site are paid by card, Klarna, Apple Pay or Google Pay, processed securely by Stripe.
Where invoice payment has been agreed, payment is due as stated on the invoice. In the event of late payment, we are entitled to charge late payment interest in accordance with the Swedish Interest Act (räntelagen), as well as statutory reminder and collection fees. AML Objects reserves the right to carry out a credit check before offering invoice payment.
The products remain the property of AML Objects until they have been paid for in full.
Pricing Errors
We make every effort to ensure that prices and product information on the site and in our quotes are correct. In the event of an obvious error in price or product information, for example a typing or technical error, we reserve the right to correct the error or cancel the order. If this happens, we will contact you as soon as possible and refund any amount already paid in full.
Product Information, Safety and Compliance
Product descriptions, dimensions, technical specifications and images are provided as accurately as possible. As all items are handmade, minor variations in dimensions, colour and finish may occur.
Each product is supplied with the relevant safety, installation and care information, which is also available on request at info@amlobjects.com. Our lighting products are CE marked for use within the EU. Fixed electrical installation of lighting products must be carried out by an authorised electrician in accordance with applicable regulations.
For deliveries outside the EU, the customer is responsible for ensuring that the products comply with local requirements in the country of installation, such as electrical standards, voltage and certification (for example UL or similar), unless otherwise agreed in writing. Product adaptations for other markets can be offered on request as part of a bespoke order.
Bespoke and Project Orders
We offer bespoke and personalised products and project-specific solutions made to your specifications, for example in a custom size, material, finish, colour or quantity. Bespoke orders follow these steps:
We provide a quote based on your requirements, including an estimated production and delivery time.
If requested, we can provide drawings, specifications and/or material samples for your review, costs may apply according to agreement.
Production begins once you have approved the final specifications in writing and full payment has been received, unless otherwise stated in the quote.
The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the measurements, technical requirements and other information provided to us. As all items are handmade from natural materials, the finished product may differ slightly in colour, veining, texture and finish from approved samples and images. Such variations are part of each product’s character and are not considered faults.
Once a bespoke order has been approved and placed in production, it cannot be changed or cancelled, and the full order value remains payable. If the order is cancelled before production has started, we will refund your payment, less any costs already incurred, such as design work and specially ordered materials.
AML Objects retains all design and intellectual property rights to bespoke products and to drawings, specifications and samples provided by us, unless otherwise agreed in writing. These may not be copied, reproduced or shared with third parties for manufacturing purposes.
Delivery
Delivery fees apply for all business purchases. The delivery fee is individually calculated based on your location and will be included in your quote from us. For purchases made directly on the website without manual contact, our standard webshop shipping rates apply: free delivery within Sweden and a fixed fee of 199 SEK within Europe. For bulky items, shipping is calculated individually.
Unless otherwise agreed in the quote or order confirmation, all deliveries are made CPT (Carriage Paid To) the agreed place of destination in accordance with Incoterms® 2020. This means that AML Objects arranges and pays for carriage to the agreed destination, while the risk of loss of or damage to the goods passes to the purchaser when the goods are handed over to the first carrier. We therefore recommend that the purchaser arranges appropriate transport insurance. Import duties, taxes and customs clearance in the country of destination are the responsibility of the purchaser.
Normal production time is usually around one week for our most common items from the collection. Production time may vary depending on the stock status of materials, the product ordered and the quantity. If delivery timing is important to you, please confirm the timeline with us before placing your order. For bespoke items and larger quantities, you will receive an estimated delivery time in your quote.
If a delivery delay occurs that has a significant consequence for you as a customer, you have the right to terminate the agreement free of charge. If a delay occurs that is out of AML Objects’ control, AML Objects cannot be considered responsible for the delay or liable for damages or compensation, unless this has been specifically agreed between the parties or follows from mandatory legislation.
When delivering products with bulky dimensions, some preparation by you as a customer may be required for the delivery to be carried out. You must ensure that there is a clear road up to and into your plot/home/premises, so that the goods can be unloaded at the address. When delivering to a residential/company address, the delivery must be acknowledged. Thus, the customer must be on site at the address at the time of delivery and be able to present a valid ID document, or a proxy must be on site with both their own and the customer’s ID document. Inside delivery is not included, so at the time of delivery, it is your responsibility to ensure that the delivery can be placed so that it is protected from e.g. wind and rain. Delivery takes place to the property boundary/door.
If your order is sent back to us by the shipping company because delivery at the address was not possible, for one of the above reasons or because you did not pick up the parcel from the agent, or if you wish to have your order delivered again, please contact us. Shipping fees for this delivery will apply.
Inspection on Delivery
The customer must inspect the delivery upon receipt. Visible damage to packaging or products must be noted on the carrier’s delivery receipt, documented with photos and reported to us and the carrier without delay, and no later than 8 days after delivery. As risk has passed to the purchaser on handover to the first carrier, claims for transport damage are made against the carrier or the purchaser’s insurer; we will assist you with documentation and the claim process.
If the delivery does not correspond to the information on your order confirmation, please notify us within the same period. We will investigate the matter and if an error has occurred on our part, we will send the correct product or refund your payment, depending on what has been agreed and is possible. The customer does not pay for any return shipping or shipping for a new item in this context.
Return Policy
We do not offer the right of withdrawal for purchases made by or on behalf of companies or organisations. Returns of non-bespoke stock items may be accepted by prior written agreement with us; return shipping and a restocking fee may apply. Bespoke and personalised products cannot be returned.
Complaints and Warranty
We provide a two-year warranty against manufacturing and material defects that were present at delivery. The warranty period starts on the date of delivery.
In the unlikely event you have received a faulty item you will not be charged a return fee. Please contact us at info@amlobjects.com as soon as possible and without undue delay after a fault is discovered, with your order number, a description of the fault and, if possible, photos. We will provide the best individual solution for the issue.
If you submit a complaint about a defective product with a delay after you received the product, it is your responsibility to prove that the defect was originally present. If a complaint is approved, we will at our discretion repair the item to its original condition or replace it with a new item. If neither repair nor replacement is possible, you are entitled to a refund of the amount you paid for the item.
The warranty does not cover natural variations in material, colour and finish, which are part of each handmade product’s character, nor normal wear, damage caused by misuse, incorrect handling, incorrect installation or failure to follow the care instructions. Fixed electrical installation of lighting products must be carried out by an authorised electrician.
Limitation of Liability
AML Objects’ liability is limited to the price paid for the product concerned. AML Objects is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of profit, production stoppages, project delays or costs of installation and removal, unless caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
Care and Maintenance
Our products are handmade from natural materials that age beautifully when cared for correctly. Always follow the care instructions supplied with the product, and pass them on to the end user where applicable. As general guidance:
Clean surfaces gently with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid water, solvents, abrasive products and household cleaning agents unless the care instructions state otherwise.
Alabaster and natural stone are porous and soft materials. Keep them dry, use them indoors, and protect them from moisture, grease and impact.
Untreated metals such as brass develop a natural patina over time. This is part of the material’s character and not a fault.
Always switch off and disconnect lighting products from the power supply, and allow them to cool, before cleaning or changing a light source.
Recycling
Electrical and electronic products, including our lighting, must not be disposed of with household or general waste. This is indicated by the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol on the product or its packaging. At the end of their life, products must be handed in to a designated collection point for electrical waste so that they can be recycled safely, in accordance with applicable regulations. Packaging should be sorted and recycled according to local rules.
Copyright
Copyright in the documents provided in this site (including, without limitation, the trade marks of AML Objects, logos, graphics, text, photos, designs, icons, images, data and software) is owned by or licensed to AML Objects and its affiliates. You may download, print and store copies of this material for your own internal use. Architects, designers and other trade clients may use product images, drawings and specifications in project presentations, specifications and proposals to their own clients involving AML Objects products, provided AML Objects is credited. You may not charge anyone for use of the material and you may not otherwise publish, duplicate or distribute the material to others, for example in marketing or on social media, without prior consent from AML Objects. You may not modify the material in any way, without the prior written permission of the copyright owner. Except as expressly stated in this legal notice, no rights or licenses to the material, or any portion thereof, shall be granted or implied.
Resale Policy
You may purchase products on www.amlobjects.com for your own internal use or for delivery to a specific project only, and not for resale. By placing an order on www.amlobjects.com, you certify that you are purchasing products for your own business use and not for resale and that you accept our general terms and conditions. We reserve the right to refuse orders for any reason without explanation.
Trade and Partner Terms
We can offer trade pricing and resale privileges to selected partners, such as retailers, architects and interior designers. Such arrangements, including pricing, discounts, minimum orders and use of the AML Objects brand, are governed by a separate written agreement, which takes precedence over these terms where they conflict. If you are interested, please contact us.
Privacy and Cookies
Information about how we collect, use and protect personal data, your rights, and how we use cookies is found in our Privacy & Cookie Policy at amlobjects.com/privacy-policy.
Colors
We cannot guarantee that colors on the website will be true to life. All items are hand-made and each unit is unique in color and finish. The color of images also varies depending on the color settings of your screen or monitor. If you are in need of exact colors and finishes, please use our bespoke service.
Violation of terms and conditions
AML Objects reserves the right to seek all solutions available at law and in equity for violations of these Terms and Conditions, including the right to block access to the site.
Force Majeure
In case of Force Majeure, AML Objects’ obligations will be suspended. The contract between you and AML Objects can, in such cases, be partially or fully terminated by yourself or by AML Objects. A Force Majeure is in the event of war, civil war, revolution, riot, governmental measures, strike, lockout, blockage, failure of electricity, telephone or internet service, natural disasters or similar events. Under such circumstances, AML Objects will attempt to resolve all issues in a timely manner.
Assignment
The customer may not transfer its rights or obligations under an order or these terms to a third party without the prior written consent of AML Objects.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to apply in full.
Governing Law
These terms are compiled in accordance with Swedish law and the Swedish courts will have exclusive jurisdiction for any dispute under this agreement, with the Stockholm District Court (Stockholms tingsrätt) as the court of first instance. The laws of your country may differ from Sweden and there may be additional legal requirements to use this website.
